I have started to mill down the mahogany for the saber case I am building for a friend. The mahogany is beautiful! I can't wait to see what it looks like with an oil finish applied. I will post pictures and comments as the building process unfolds. Check back regularly!

I have finished the wooden smoothing plane! What a fun project this was to build. Not only are wooden planes cool, the work really well. With all of our technology and metal tools, here is a shaped piece of wood that will cut .002" shavings with just a sharp blade - amazing!
