Cherry Shaker Table
This cherry Shaker table was constructed with mortise and tenon joinery and handcut dovetails. The finish was hand rubbed to a satin sheen on the drawer front, sides and legs while the curly cherry top has a slightly more polished appearance.
Mahogany Saber Display Case
A very good friend of mine gave me the honor of making a display case for his son's Norwich University Officer saber. The case was constructed with both quarter-sawn and plain-sawn mahogany. Click the link below and see numerous photographs and commentary of the building process.

Kitchen Table
A good friend of mine and his wife purchased a set of table legs and a butcher block top and needed some help turning it into a functional table. Click the "View" tab and see the building process.
Simple Painted Bookshelf
This simple, painted bookshelf was constructed using both solid wood and plywood. Solid wood molding was used to ease the transition beneath the top and above the base. Its large size and weight make it incredibly sturdy, as well as capable of holding quite a few books.
Antique Door Ringer
This antique door ringer is approximately 100-years old and served many years in the front door of the farm house where my father grew up. The black walnut display stand serves to not only display the unique item, but to provide enough support to allow the door ringer to be operated with one hand.
Antique Post Office Door Banks
These are both a fun project, as well as a neat preservation of history. The antique Post Office box door banks are constructed out of black walnut with lighter colored hardwood pins for contrast. Each door is fully functional with a working combination lock.
Prerequisite End Grain Cutting Boards
Here are some of the prerequisite cutting boards I have made from hard maple, cherry, and walnut.
Small Cheese Serving Board
I made this board for my wife when I started to realize I was drawing some concerning looks for being out in the shop for as long as I had been... It was quick to make and simple in design. She loved it and I got to stay out in the shop longer!
John F. Kennedy Honor Ceremony 75mm Shell Stand
My father asked if I could build a commemorable display stand for this particular 75mm shell that had been fired in honor of the passing of President John F. Kennedy. Though not a particularly intricate piece, it is on e of the more meaningful pieces I have built.
Antique B.F. Avery Salesman Cold Chisel Plow
This is a very old, antique Avery salesman model plow that belongs to my father. When the model plow was purchased, it had only one handle and it was broken. After a lot of careful planning I made two replacement handles out of ash.
Birdseye Maple Kraut Cutter
I modeled this birdseye maple kraut cutter after one that belonged to my grandparents. I made some construction changes, but overall, I believe it kept the same basic design.
Cedar Outdoor Deck
The deck boards and railing are made from cedar. Though it is not "fine woodworking" by any means, it was an enormous challenge. The sealer that I use annually is made by ReadySeal and is their "cedar" tone. The wet appearance of the deck is due to the fact that I had just applied the sealer before taking the pictures.

Krenov style Wooden Smoothing Plane
I have wanted to build my own wooden plane for some time. More because I am drawn to older tools and technique than I need another plane... There is something about a wooden plane that begs for you to pick it up and touch it.
Parallel Jaw Clamp Rack
Reloading Bench
This reloading bench in the result of the collision between two on my hobbies - woodworking and shooting. The bench might be a bit overdone, but what is overdone, really?
